Pokemon Journeys: The Series coming to Netflix and POP

The 23rd season of Pokemon Journeys: The Series is coming to Netflix in the US and through POP in the UK.

Pokemon Journeys: The Series will be coming to western audiences through Netflix starting June 12, and through POP in the UK on May 25.

The upcoming, 23rd season will feature an all-new narrative following Ash and Pikachu as they go on adventures in various regions of the Pokemon world. They will meet new characters and discover more Pokemon along the way.

Here's the synopsis:

Pokemon Trainer Ash Ketchum has a new plan: see the world. But first, he and his partner Pikachu are headed to the opening of the Cerise Laboratory, a research facility dedicated to uncovering the mysteries of Pokemon in every region. Ash meets Goh, another boy with boundless curiosity about Pokemon, and both are overjoyed when Professor Cerise asks them to become official research fellows. With Ash as determined as ever to become a Pokemon Master, and Goh aiming to catch one of every Pokemon (including the Mythical Mew), our heroes are in for adventure and excitement as they explore the wide world of Pokemon.

The Netflix partnership kicks off with 12 episodes of the new season and additional new episodes will be added quarterly for the duration of the season.

Premiere dates and new episodes will be announced by POP closer to launch.
