Pokemon Go players can now engage in Trainer Battles

It's finally here: Pokemon Go players can now challenge others in Trainer Battles.

The new PvP mode in Pokemon Go has been along time coming, and it's finally here with the latest update on Android and iOS.

With the update, players are able to challenge other players nearby to a Trainer Battle by scanning their Battle Code.

Remote Trainer Battle challenges can also be sent to Ultra Friends or Best Friends, and Trainer Battles against team leaders Spark, Candela, and Blanche are also available.

Theses PvP challenges take place in different Battle Leagues, each requiring a team of three Pokemon: Great, Ultra, and Master. Each League also has different Pokemon CP limits.

Trainers can earn rewards for participating in Trainer Battles, and there are new colors and skin tones available for Avatars in the update.

If you need help figuring out how it all works, our feature on Pokemon Go PvP and an unlockable second charged attack will get you started.
