Pokemon Go collaboration with One Piece will earn you a special Straw Hat Pikachu

Pokemon Go players can earn a special Straw Hat Pikachu starting July 22.

Pokemon Go festivities this month will continue past Community Day starting July 22 with a special One Piece cross-over event.

The event coincides with Pokemon Go's three-year anniversary and One Piece's 22nd.

From July 22 at 12pm local time through July 29 12pm local time, a Straw Hat Pikachu will appear in the game worldwide. It's the same hat Luffy wears in One Piece.

You will also be able to pick up the same straw hat through the item shop for your Trainer, according to Serebii.

Those who live in Japan should head to Kumamoto where a special One Piece statue will be placed. The location will become a PokeStop as a way to support the city's rebuild after the 2019 earthquake (thanks, Siliconera).

And don't forget about the Pokemon Go Community Day event occurring the day before. The July 21 event stars water-type Mudkip.
