Looks like the PlayStation Store is back up - almost

Update: Players are reporting that although you can get into the main PlayStation Store, you can't actually select most of the content. So there's still some work left for Sony to do before the store's back to full working order.

Original story:After an hour of trouble it looks like the PlayStation Store is starting to come back around.

In the wake of a major firmware update and one of the most hotly anticipated demos of the year, it seemed like the PlayStation Store had taken a bit of a knock and is down for the count.

When you tried to access the PSN Store on a console you get a message simply reading, “An error has occurred,” along with the error code “WS-43305-5”.

The error first showed up about 3:30PM in the UK - the same time that the FIFA 19 Demo hit the PlayStation Store, but according to the official PlayStation Status Page, it looked to be down in all regions.

Sony hasn’t said whether the issue is in fact to do with the demo, or the PlayStation 6.0 firmware update that went live earlier today.

You could still access the Store online via a browser, so right now this seems to be a problem that’s isolated to the console dashboard.

It doesn't seem to be totally out of the woods yet though, sometimes while you're navigating the Store a message saying, "This content cannot be selected at this time" flashes up.

We’ll update this page as the story develops, but you can keep an eye on the Status page yourself, as well as PlayStation on Twitter.

In other PlayStation news, Fortnite fans who also have a PS Plus subscription can download the "PlayStation Plus Celebration Pack" - when the store's properly back online of course.

Meanwhile, Sony dropped a Japan-exclusive demo for Project Judge - also known as Judge Eyes - at TGS. Westerners can also get in on the fun, all you have to do is make a Japanese PSN account. Something else to try out when the store's back online!
