PlayStation Plus subscribers in Europe get Alienation instead of Abzu in May's free haul

The free PlayStation Plus games line-up for next month will be little different in Europe.

Sony revealed the line-up of free games PlayStation Plus subscribers get in May overnight, but there's something different this time.

The official PS4 line-up is Tales from the Borderlands, and Abzu. However, PS Plus subscribers in Europe won't get Abzu. Instead, they'll receive Alienation, with the rest of the line-up intact across all platforms.

This may disappoint some fans who wanted to play the new game from Journey creators, but Abzu's replacement is nothing to scoff at. Alienation is Housemarque top-down loot shooter, and it's a great game to play in co-op or solo.

Still, Sony has usually been good about offering the same content in both regions, and though this has happened before, it's at least kept to a minimum.
