PlayStation Home to get free-to-play FPS

Sony Computer Entertainment have revealed Bootleggers, a new free-to-play first person shooter that takes place inside the upcoming new version of PlayStation Home.

Bootleggers gives folks who hang out in Home a chance to use their PlayStation Home avatars to frag each other in a basic but fully-featured multiplayer first person shooter.

Booted through the new version of PlayStation Home, which is described as being like Disneyland, Bootleggers will be found in the 'Action' district. A free-to-play Poker title will be found in the Sports district, too, and there are more games yet to be announced.

It's all looking a rather far cry from the genesis of Home, which mostly involved waiting for 10 minutes to play a semi-broken bowling game with a stiff avatar. Both games, and Sony's Home improvements in general, are talked about in a little more detail over at ShackNews.
