Playerunknown's Battlegrounds adds climbing, vaulting, and weather conditions

A new update for Playerunknown's Battlegrounds will make fences less of a bother.

Few games have enough traction to make a trailer about being able to climb over fences and jump through windows news worth reporting on, but Playerunknown's Battlegrounds is an exception. This update will make it much easier to move around during a tight-quarters skirmish, and being able to vault could get you out of a jam where you need to put some cover between yourself and another player in a hurry.

Weather effects are being added too. Rain and fog are likely to change the dynamics of the game, making it harder to take enemies out from a distance and easier to sneak up on them. The trailer also shows off the OTs-14 Groza, a Russian assault rifle, which will also be added in this update.

We also found out from the PC Gaming Show, held during E3, that the game has two new maps planned for release. Microsoft, meanwhile, revealed that the game is coming to Xbox One as a console exclusive on November 11.

It's not clear when this update will be available, but it looks pretty polished - we'd expect it soon.
