Player Unknown Fortnite Battlegrounds Royal pubGO is a thing that exists

The world of Android's Google Play Store is a treasure trove of SEO-optimised game titles, and cloned gameplay.

PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds is the biggest game in the world right now. If you're not one of the 20 million people who have been playing it, you've probably heard about it one way or another.

Universal law dictates that any game popular enough will eventually have clones, and in no way is this more evident than on the Android Google Play Store. Doesn't matter whether the original is a mobile game or not, if it's big enough, there's going to be a clone of it on phones.

You've all seen this amazing / terrible Chinese knock-off by now, but at least that thing ended up being a little bit different. It also has the Terminator license, so that's another point for it. Today's find is actually, 100% called Player Unknown Fortnite Battlegrounds Royal pubGO.

Spotted by Reddit user Merelyok, the free-to-play game is available to download now through the Android app store. It's supported by ads, and as you can see in the screenshots, it knows exactly what's going for.

The name Player Unknown Fortnite Battlegrounds Royal pubGO may seem too long or unoriginal, but it's designed that way for a reason. That being to appear on as many pages as possible, covering as many search terms as possible. Even though you and I know PUBG is only available on PC, many people just look up the name on the app store on their phone, thus ending up on its page.

As you may have already guessed, the pitch is identical to PUBG's. One of the screenshots even advertises "no lag."

It's created by a studio called SMRT Games - 3D Online Game Studio (gosh, even the developer's name is SEO'd), and the description page is full of broken English. It appears to be this studio's first game, too, but a quick search on the Google Play Store reveals many other clones by other developers.

Some have recreated the map, weapons, UI, and other elements found in the original PUBG, while others only copied the last-man-standing and looting mechanics. There are so many of them, in fact, that I found two YouTube videos comparing them.

Hopefully, this will save you the trouble of downloading Player Unknown Fortnite Battlegrounds Royal pubGO.
