PopCap just announced that cartoon tower defence game Plants Vs Zombies will release for DS in the US next January.

Gamestop's now taking pre-orders for $20.

Adventure, Survival and Puzzle modes, mini-games and "new and exclusive game content" will be included.

The publisher also said today that the game's iPhone version generated over $1 million in revenue the first nine days it was available via iTunes.

An XBLA adaptation releases next month.

There's no word on when the DS version's going to hit Europe.
