Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare 2 - All Gold Gnome Locations

Where to find every gold gnome figure.

There are plenty of collectibles to hunt for in Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare 2. This guide will show you how to track down every Gold Gnome statue hidden throughout the game. Collecting all 54 Gold Gnomes unlocks the Gnomore achievement, as well as a special room that contains various chest rewards.

Gold Gnomes are hidden in both the Backyard Battleground, as well as the multiplayer maps. We will list the description for finding each Gold Gnome based on their general location, starting with the backyard.

Some Gold Gnomes are easy to find, while others are in hard to reach locations that require special unlock methods to reveal the gnomes. Follow our descriptions below to track down each of these gilded collectibles.

Collecting several Gold Gnomes will allow you to access a secret location called the Chamber of Gnomes, only if you follow the proper steps to reach the location. Head over to our Gnome Man’s Land Achievement Guide for details on how to unlock the Chamber of Gnomes if you haven’t done so already. You will need to have access to the Chamber of Gnomes to receive your reward for collecting all 54 Gold Gnomes.

Once you've finished collecting all of the Gold Gnomes, you can move on to collecting all 50 Snow Globes throughout the backyard. This task becomes available upon speaking to the Clam in the sewers. If you need help tracking down the Snow Globes, head over to our guide on all Snow Globe locations in Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare 2.

Note: The images for each Gold Gnome below will appear above its description. Some images will show a gnome silhouette for the gnomes we had already collected earlier.

The Backyard

There are 14 Gold Gnome statues to find throughout the backyard area, including one in each Hero Portal. You must play through the single player story mode to gain access to each Hero Portal on either side.

A few Gold Gnomes are in hard to reach locations, so we recommend using either Super Brains or the Peashooter to search for gnomes. Both of these characters have abilities that allow them to jump high enough to reach rooftops and other tall structures where some Gold Gnomes are found.

Gold Gnome #1 - Enter Davebot 3000’s garage after completing the simple quest to unlock the door. On the left side, there is a Gold Gnome at the edge of the table near the car.

Gold Gnome #2 - Head to the soccer field to the left of the main Treehouse. A Gold Gnome is found at the top of the scoreboard. To reach the collectible, equip a character with a high jumping capability, such as the Peashooter or Super Brains. Walk along the back of the bleachers, then jump to grab the collectible while still in the air.

Gold Gnome #3 - Go to the ZomDocks on the far side of the marketplace. To the right of the docks, you’ll find a Gold Gnome behind bars inside a drain pipe.

Gold Gnome #4 - Enter the sewers through the opening closest to the zombie side. Turn left, and continue down the corridor until you see a Gold Gnome behind bars near a staircase on the right wall.

Gold Gnome #5 - In the sewers, locate a narrow footpath that connects two platforms. Look across the gap toward a pair of copper pipes on the far wall. There is a Gold Gnome in the left corner just behind the pipes. To access this gnome, you must play as a character that can clear the gap, such as the Scientist or Citron.

Gold Gnome #6 - Return to the Treehouse, and enter the Hero Portal for Agent Rose. Look for a mushroom covered button beside the fountain ahead of the door. Shoot the button to reveal the Gold Gnome where the previous fountain statue was located.

Gold Gnome #7 - Enter the Hero Portal for Agent Corn. After completing all of Agent Corn’s missions, you will gain access to the chest to the left of the barn. Walk past the chest and turn right down the narrow alley behind the barn to find the next Gold Gnome.

Gold Gnome #8 - Enter the Hero Portal for Agent Citron. The Gold Gnome is found straight ahead of the portal entrance, on a table to the left.

Gold Gnome #9 - Once you have completed the main Hero quests for the plants, return to Davebot’s garage. Go down the passage beneath the parked car. Just before heading through the gold double doors, look along the wall to the left near the water. There is another mushroom button along the stone wall. Shoot the button, and a Gold Gnome will pop up beside the bridge.

Gold Gnome #10 - Respawn as a zombie, and head to the Mansion. Go past the Multiplayer Portal toward the left side of the Mansion, and look for a Gold Gnome on the ground beside a shallow grave.

Gold Gnome #11 - At the back of the Mansion, enter the purple Hero Portal for Super Brains on the left. Walk up the staircase to the left of where Super Duper Brains is standing, and locate the Gold Gnome behind the large sculpture.

Gold Gnome #12 - Enter the Hero Portal for the Imp and Z-Mech. A Gold Gnome is sitting in the car seat of a small red car along the right wall.

Gold Gnome #13 - Enter the Hero Portal for Captain Deadbeard, the Pirate. Approach ‘Ol Deadbeard at his desk, and turn right toward his bedroom. You’ll find a Gold Gnome on the bookshelf in the right corner of his bedroom.

Gold Gnome #14 - In the Mansion area, drop down the hatch beside Dr. Patient to reach the laboratory. Once you enter the portal, walk forward and turn around to look toward the back wall. A Gold Gnome is sitting at the edge of the rock pillars. Use either Super Brains or the Footsoldier, and activate their abilities to jump to the rocks to reach the collectible.

Multiplayer Maps

Most of the Gold Gnomes are carefully hidden throughout the various multiplayer maps. The best method for finding all of the gnomes in multiplayer is to create a private match with specific settings. Access the Multiplayer Portal, and set up a private match for each map listed below. Under Crazy Settings, tick the box for Speed Boost Craziness. For the Team Setup, select None for both plants and zombies to ensure you have plenty of time to freely roam each map.

Zen Peak

Gold Gnome #15 - Follow the river as it flows into a waterfall off the edge of the map. Stand at the waterfall, drop down off the edge. There is a small shrine just behind the waterfall that contains a Gold Gnome.

Gold Gnome #18 - On the opposite end of the map from where you found #17, look for a broken edge where the walkway crumbles. Jump off the edge, and turn around to find a mushroom button. Z-Tech Factory

Gold Gnome #21 - While facing the Zombot assembly area, go left and search the containers in the corner. A Gold Gnome is sitting behind metal bars in a small container beside a weapon case.

Gold Gnome #38 - Enter the building toward the second capture point. From the entrance, immediately go left and shoot the mushroom button beside the pile of luggage. A Gold Gnome will appear at the top of the debris.

Gold Gnome #39 - Continue toward the next capture point. When you reach the low-gravity area that contains the tombstones, go over to the edge overlooking a large machine with many hands. Drop down the cliff onto a lower platform that contains a Gold Gnome.

Gold Gnome #40 - Continue on to the Mine Shaft capture point. Move along the metal walkway surrounding the large drill just before the capture point. Look over the edge of the walkway, and drop down toward the crystals along the rock wall. You should land inside a hidden tunnel that leads deep into the rocks. Continue through the tunnel until you reach the Gold Gnome.

Gold Gnome #41 - Go past the Mine Shaft capture point and locate several machines crushing crystals along the back wall. There is a Gold Gnome inside one of the mine carts outside these crushers.

Gold Gnome #42 - Just before the final stage of Moon Base Z, jump up onto the purple pipes outside of the building. There is a Gold Gnome on a small platform along the rock wall to the right. Use a high jump ability, such as the Peashooter’s Hyper, to reach this collectible in low-gravity.
