Pixeljunk dev's soup empire sim Nom Nom Galaxy exits Early Access

Nom Nom Galaxy has players conquering the universe through an expanding merchant empire.

Taking control of Soup Co., Nom Nom Galaxy players scour remote planets for tasty ingredients with which to craft new soups. They'll have to battle extreme conditions, alien creatures and rival soup manufacturers to secure these resources, building enormous factory bases.

The resulting blend of platforming, base building, tower defence and combat is helped along by robot companions, or even real friends in splitscreen local co-op or four-player online play. There are hundreds of types of soup to discover, apparently. It sounds a bit like Terraria meets Pixeljunk Monsters, and you may recall it was once called PixelJunk Inc.

Intrigued? The project has just exited Early Access and is now available on Steam - it's 20% off during launch week. It's also out on PS4.
