Phil Harrison to provide keynote at LGC 2012

Phil Harrison, Microsoft's VP of its European Interactive Entertainment Business unit, will provide the opening keynote at the London Games Conference next month.

This will be Harrison's first speaking engagement since accepting his position with Microsoft, noted Develop.

Harrison's speech is titled "Building the Future of Entertainment", and it will cover everything from Xbox 360 to games on Windows 8. His speech will ask the following:

"What opportunities will a new platform and a huge new audience mean for gamers, developers and distributors? What kind of studios, IP and delivery mechanisms will we see as the old world changes and the very genre of ‘gaming’ is forever redefined?"

Twitter, Google, Sega, Disney, Yogscast and other digital games experts will be at the event, while EA's F2P boss, Sean Decker, will provide a keynote as well.

The full schedule will be published next week.

London Games Conference takes place at One Wimpole Street, November 21.
