Persona 2: Innocent Sin advises on chatting up demons

If you're not familiar with the subtle art of demon negotiation, come and be educated thanks to a new trailer for Persona 2: Innocent Sin.

In the Persona series, as with many Shin Megami Tensei games, the player isn't obliged to fight every enemy they encounter. Different party members have different abilities which can be used to trigger various effects while chatting to demons - charming them into leaving peacefully or giving up items. Some rare items gained from demons can be combined to create stronger Personas.

Negotiations can also put enemies into different states which affect their battle abilities - including making them stronger, so be careful!

Persona 2: Innocent Sin's re-release on PSP marks the game's debut in the US, although its spin-off did make it stateside. It's due on September 20, with a European release confirmed but yet to be dated.

Thanks, CVG.
