Payday 2 developer Overkill has revealed today that it's planning to support the game until 2017.

What this means is that more free content as well as paid DLC are in the works for release later. Payday 2 has been the recipient of quite a lot of DLC in the past year, ranging from masks and other cosmetic items to full-on new heists.

The developer said that they signed a new deal with publisher 505 Games which will enable them to extend support for the game.

This is good news for those waiting for the upcoming console version too, due in June.
