Patch to resolve Serious Sam 3: BFE PC save incompatibility issues

Help is on the way for users caught by a save file-breaking glitch introduced with the latest Serious Sam 3: BFE update.

According to a Croteam representative posting on the Steam Forums, the developer has found a way to resolve the problems and will release a patch as soon as possible.

A mistake with the previous title update saw new versions levels one, two, nine and 12 added to the game, making save files from those levels inaccessible.

Gamers responded with horror, as the levels in Serious Sam 3: BFE are unusually lengthy, sometimes taking a couple of hours to complete. Withut access to interim saves, players were forced to begin those levels all over again.

Croteam initially hesitated about patching the game again, as a new update would restore old saves but break any new ones made in the meantime, but now believes it has found a solution.

Serious Sam 3: BFE released on PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 this week.
