Happy days. Square's Tetsuya Nomura has confirmed the first two Parasite Eve games will get a classics release on PSN.

He confirmed the news in a tweet, saying only the release was confirmed and that an official announcement was incoming.

A archives release for the two games on PS3 and PSP have been teased before in the run-in to the series' latest title The 3rd Birthday by Nomura and producer Yoshinori Kitase, speaking to VG247 at gamescom in August.

Parasite Eve and Parasite Eve 2 was released on PS1 in 1998 and 2000, with the former not even releasing in Europe.

The next Parasite Eve title, The 3rd Birthday, releases on December 22 in Japan and Q1 2011 in North America.

Thanks, Andriasang.
