Pachter: Wii, Mario Galaxy 2 and Red Dead Redemption to dominate NPDs
Wedbush Morgan's Michael Pachter has released his estimates for this Thursday's NPDs, pegging Wii, Super Mario Galaxy 2 and Red Dead Redemption as the big winners.
As far as software goes, Pachter predicted the top hitters would be SMG2, Alan Wake, UFC Undisputed 2010 and RDR, which the analyst reckons sold 1.8 million units.
Software sales of up to $500 million are also predicted, up 11 percent from 2009.
For hardware, it's thought that Wii will come out on top with sales of 330k, followed by 360 and PS3 with 190k and 175k respectively, up YoY for all involved.
The figures for the months of May and June will be released on Thursday, with the May figures delayed last month due to a "significant change" to NPD's IT architecture.
