Overwatch: one of Sombra's most-requested changes may make it to the PTR soon

The next PTR update for Overwatch could bring a Sombra change fans have been asking for since December.

Sombra is not among the easiest heroes to play in Overwatch. But part of the reason why she's not being picked as often as Blizzard hopes has to do with a few little issues.

Blizzard has slowly been making changes to Sombra, some of which, such as those in the most recent PTR update, have yet to hit the live game. The goal is to make her more active in fights after recovery and have her teammates be aware of what she's doing.

For all its efforts, however, Blizzard has yet to make it possible for Sombra's teammates to see hacked health packs through walls. This may change with the next PTR update, which will add the feature.

This is important because Sombra cannot hack all health packs in the map, and in certain parts that include multiple health packs, her teammates often don't know which is hacked and which isn't.

This quality of life change was asked for by fans back in December, and has since received multiple upvotes.

Recently, it caught the attention of principal designer Geoff Goodman, who told players in a Battle.net forum discussion that the studio will try to add the feature to the game's next PTR update.

As with most things coming to the PTR, this may not make it in, so we'll keep you updated.
