Ability to share Overwatch progress between platforms is discussed often at Blizzard

Blizzard is interested in the ability for players to share saved progress in Overwatch between console and PC. But, it wont happen any time soon.

Speaking in an interview with PCgamesN, Overwatch lead designer Jeff Kaplan said the team at Blizzard frequently discusses the possibility of shared progress between platforms.

"This is something that we have ongoing and frequent discussions about with our tech group," Kaplan told PCGamesN.

"It's something we would very much like to explore. It's very challenging for many reasons, and I won't get into all the details as to why, but I think it's a very valid desire that our players have and it's something that the Overwatch team would love to figure out."

Kaplan said the studio will "continue to work hard on it to make it happen someday," if it can overcome the challenges of adding such a feature.

Overwatch players are able to jump into the latest event for the game, Retribution, which kicked off yesterday.

Retribution takes players back in time to the King’s Row Uprising, but from the perspective of Blackwatch. Here, they will fight Talon on a new map, and the main stars of the event are McCree, Gabriel Reyes (Reaper), Genji, and Moria.

Players are also once again able to try their hand at last year’s Uprising mission alongside the new content.

New skins for select Overwatch characters are available along with emotes, sprays, and intros.
