Outplay Entertainment to create 150 Jobs in Dundee

Scottish games publisher Outplay Entertainment has announced it plans to build offices and create up to 150 high value jobs in Dundee.

Outplay Entertainment, which specializes in publishing videogames on smartphones, social networks and other e-distribution platforms, have over 25-years experience in the games industry and have developed titles for brands including Star Wars: Episode III, The Da Vinci Code and Marc Ecko's Getting Up: Contents Under Pressure.

Formed by the Hare brothers, Souglas and Richard's decision to return to Scotland was based on Dundee’s "competitiveness for games development and skilled workforce," reads the press release.

The company plans to capitalize on the growth of new digital platforms and build on its existing portfolio of games currently in development. It will also receive £2.25 million in Regional Selective Assistance to invest in Scotland, facilitated by Scottish Development International.
