Otherland developer RealU reunites a star team

A new developer for Otherland, RealU's action MMORPG adaptation of the bestselling Tad Williams sci-fi epic, reveals the team came together specifically to make this game - and get the crew back together.

"It's not every day we have the chance to found a new studio," RealU CEO Andrew Carter said.

"It gave me the opportunity to put back together a team that did some fantastic work."

RealU, which employs over 80 staff, includes talent from Melbourne House as well as major EA and THQ studios. The video features creative director Holger Liebnitz, art director Russel Comte, lead game designer Nic Cusworth, and lead quest deisgner Shawn Pitman.

The free-to-play Otherland is being jointly-funded by dtp Entertainment and Gamigo, and is due to launch in early 2012. You can register for beta testing on the game's website.
