Original Diablo, Warcraft to be made available digitally for the first time

You can finally purchase the original Diablo without a box.

The original Diablo, released in 1996, is now available digitally for the first time ever for $9.99.

Blizzard announced today it worked with GOG to bring the 1996 title, complete with period-appropriate 20 FPS SVGA graphics, to the digital service. You can also enjoy the game's multiplayer through the Battle.net.

Another version comes with a compatibility update to work with Windows 10. It features support for high-resolution displays and comes with plenty of bug fixes.

Upon purchase, you can choose which version of the game to launch whenever you start it up, so feel free to switch back and forth.

Diablo 2 and Diablo 2: Lord of Destruction are available for purchase digitally on Battle.net, so it doesn't appear these will arrive on GOG anytime soon or at all.

In addition to bringing back the first Diablo, Blizzard is planning to release Warcraft: Orcs & Humans and Warcraft 2 on the GOG service.

More information these Blizzard titles coming to service will be announced at a later date.
