Origin Mac client goes live as service nears 40m users

Origin is nudging close to 40 million registered users on PC and iOS combined. The news comes as EA pushed the button on its Origin Mac client, which is available now.

MCV reports that Origin for Mac has launched with 50 titles on offer, and boasts the same features as its PC counterpart. It has some catching up to do on the PC version's 500 games however.

There are also a number of "Dual-Play" titles doing the rounds - games that will work on both PC and Mac with a single purchase. It's similar to Sony's cross-play feature where gamers buy a title on PS3 and also receive the PS Vita build free of charge.

Do you use Origin regularly? What do you think of it? Speak your brains below.
