Onimusha: Warlords reviews round-up, all the scores

Onimusha: Warlords is fondly remembered as a medieval take on Resident Evil's formula - does it hold up in 2019?

The Onimusha: Warlords remaster, first announced in August last year, does away with tank controls for a more accessible experience for new, and returning players.

The rest of Onimusha: Warlords' systems are intact. This is still a fixed-camera action game where you'll be finding various herbs with different healing properties. It also brings back the campy, utterly terrible voice acting synonymous with that era of Capcom games, though we do get new music.

The remaster is based on the PS2 version of Onimusha: Warlords, featuring cleaned up visuals, analogue stick and wide screen support, but not much else. There is a new easy mode, though Capcom decided not to bring back the many additions in the Xbox release of the game.

Read on below to see how the re-release fared with reviewers. As always, scores listed are out of ten except where otherwise noted.
