Octodad: Dadliest Catch patch adds co-op play

Octodad: Dadliest Catch's free DLC turned up overnight, bringing with it a pleasant surprise.

Octodad: Dadliest Catch is a pretty tricky game. You need to control Octodad's "arms and legs" using deliberately clumsy puppeteer-like controls, and attempt to blend in with human kind.

Developer Young Horses has hit upon a fiendish way to make this even more difficult: co-operative play. The PC version has been patched with a co-op mode using multiple mice.

I cannot imagine the carnage. It puts me in mind of Katamari's co-op mode, which was the cause of an ongoing breakdown in diplomatic relations between some of my friends.

As well as delivering the free Shorts DLC, the update also fixed a save wipe bug, among other tweaks. See the full patch notes on the Steam Community Page.
