No Wii, DS price cut this year, says Iwata

Speaking in this Reuters article, Nintendo boss Satoru Iwata has said the company has no plans to drop the price of its two consoles this year.

"Our earnings projection for the year is not based on hardware price cuts, and I don't think we are going to need them," he said.

His comments came after Nintendo announced giant full-year financials this week, and confirmed that Wii and DS have now sold through 24.45 million and 70.6 million units respectively.
