No "choose your ending" scheme in Deus Ex: Mankind Divided's final mission

The ending selection from the final mission of Deus Ex: Human Revolution will not be repeated in Mankind Divided.

Developer Eidos Montreal is not opting for a simple choose-your-own-ending-type set-up for the Deus Ex: Mankind Divided's final mission. What the studio also doesn't want to do is have your final choices arbitrarily affect the game's ending, without taking into account decisions you've made throughout.

"I’m not going to say how many endings we have; there’s a few, and obviously the choices in the last map in the game will have a big impact," game producer Olivier Proulx told PCGamesN.

Proulx admitted that it's complex to build endings that organically follow on player's choices and that the final mission will still decide the story outcome.

"But the decisions you make earlier can be used to affect the last parts of the game. So, much earlier decisions impact you right until the end.”

Deus Ex: Mankind Divided is out February 23 on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
