Nintendo working to fix Pokemon X & Y game-breaking bug

Earlier this week we reported that there is a game-breaking bug in Pokemon X & Y that would corrupt the save data of some players when they saved in Lumiose City, rendering their save file ruined and forcing them to start again. Nintendo has now acknowledged the issue and said that it is working on a fix.

A post on the company's Japanese website indicates that a fix is coming soon, and that in the meantime you should retreat inside buildings if you must save with Lumiose City. It also indicates that the fix will deal with corrupted files. So it could be worth hanging on for a few days instead of restarting the game.

The post also included the following map of where in the city the bug is likely to occur.

Thanks, Nintendo Life.
