Nintendo UK marketing manager departs for BBC role

Rob Lowe, a veteran of Nintendo's UK marketing team, has opted to leave the company after eight years service.

GamesIndustry reports Lowe will take up a position as marketing director at BBC Worldwide from June 1.

Lowe's replacement has not been confirmed, but Nintendo moves slowly on senior appointments; fellow marketing lead Dawn Paine left in January and has not been replaced, while Nintendo of America took more than a year to replace its vice president of corporate affairs.

"Rob has been a valuable member of the UK marketing team and whilst we are sad to see him go, we are proud to watch a member of our Nintendo family start a new chapter in their career," Nintendo UK general manager David Yarnton said.

"Rob leaves behind him a talented and exceptional team who will continue to deliver some of the industries strongest and most creative campaign as we embark on an exciting year ahead."
