Nintendo trademarks Circle Pad Pro

Speaking of strapping stuff to your 3DS, a new trademark suggests the big N has finally settled on a name for its second analog circle attachment.

Siliconera turned up a pair of Nintendo Japan trademark filings for Circle Pad Pro (in English) and Slide Pad attachment (in Japanese).

The 3DS's analog circle has been variously labelled circle pad, slide pad and analog circle, and Nintendo itself has seemed a little uncertain on how to label it in various territories, leading to some confusion over what to call the add on.

The peripheral adds a second analog circle input to the 3DS and will be supported by Capcom's Monster Hunter 3G and Resident Evil: Revelations.
