Nintendo to open new R&D centre in Kyoto

Nintendo's announced it's to start building a new R&D centre in Kyoto next year. The building will be at the Higashikujo Matsudacho area of the Minami Ward district in Kyoto, close to the company's HQ. It'll house 1,500 developers and will become Nintendo's primary main research facility. Construction is due to end sometime in 2013.
