Nintendo shows off new Switch fitness device, full reveal next week

Nintendo looks to be working on a fitness peripheral of some sort for Switch.

Nintendo has dropped a new trailer for what the company calls a new Switch "experience." The trailer doesn't spill the product's name, but it shows off some of its uses, all of which appear to be fitness-related.

A full reveal is expected on Thursday, September 12. From the footage, there appears to be two components to this device. The big one being a rubber ring where one Joy-Con controller sits, whereas the other is a band shown wrapped around players' thighs, itself holding the other Joy-Con.

The trailer shows off people engaged in physical activities such as lifting weights, running in place, stretching and so on all while watching their TVs - perhaps as some form of trainer instructs them.

It all seems to be tracked by the Joy-Cons' in both pieces, but it's hard to get a good grasp of what it actually is without more details. Until next Thursday, though, you can watch the new trailer below:
