Nintendo offering refurbished portables with warranty

Cutting out the retail middleman, Nintendo has begun selling refurbished DS and 3DS units in North America.

The used consoles are available from the online Nintendo store and although they're cheaper than new units, they still come with a one year warranty.

The consoles were presumably returned for some reason, but have been "cleaned, tested, and inspected to meet Nintendo’s high standards". Nintendo says they're fully functional but may have minor "blemishes".
