Nintendo of America appoints new VP of corporate affairs

Nintendo of American has appointed a new vice president of corporate affairs, Cynthia Gordon, to fill a role left empty for over a year.

Gamasutra reports Gordon had worked in consumer brand PR for over 20 years before taking on the Nintendo position.

Based at the company's Redwood City, California offices, Gordon will report directly to NoA president Reggie Fils-Aime, as the position immediately superior - the executive vice president of sales and marketing - has not been filled since an October resignation.

Gordon's own role has also had time to cool; nobody has filled the position since Denise Kaigler left in November 2009 for the lures of 38 Studios.
