Nintendo: Iwata's comments on new handheld were "misinterpreted

Nintendo of America has told Kotaku that comments made last week by Nintendo president Satoru Iwata were "misinterpreted".

Last week. Iwata said in an interview with a Japanese newspaper that when a new Nintendo handheld came, it would feature motion controls and "highly detailed graphics".

But the company told the site that wasn't the case.

"The answer to the reporter's question was misinterpreted," said an NoA rep.

Nintendo didn't comment, however, on news that the next Zelda for Wii was due this year and a Wii Vitality Sensor event in July - both of which Iwata mentioned in the interview.
