Ninja Turtles: Activision releasing new trilogy of games starting Summer

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles got a reboot on Nickelodeon last year. Activision and the broacaster company have teamed up for a new trilogy of games based on the show, heading your way in the Summer.

In a statement sent to VG247, Nickelodeon confirmed that the "multi-year" would see Activision developing and publishing three new games tied to the series.

Sherice Torres, senior VP of entertainment products at Nickelodeon said of the deal, “Activision is a leader in the gaming industry and we are honored to have them as the global video game partner for our new hit series Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

“We are confident that these upcoming games will take gamers through interactive environments and action-packed adventures that truly capture the essence, tone and exciting elements of the Turtles."

Kurt Niederloh, VP of Activision Publishing Minneapolis added, “The fans of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are unique in that they span generations and are very passionate. We respect this passion and look forward to working with Nickelodeon to create games that embody the spirit of the property.”

No formats or solid game titles were mentioned. Expect more nearer the Summer.

Still no word on the Michael Bay movie reboot though. Makes me want to vomit on my keyboard just thinking about it. What about you?
