Nine to Five's first beta is live now with a taste of its tactical shooter action

Tactical shooter Nine to Five is opening the doors for everyone to play.

Nine to Five, the team-based tactical shooter from Redhill Games, has kicked off an open beta on Steam. The beta, available now until Sunday, is the first public test at this scale.

Nine to Five is a multiplayer shooter where three teams of three descend upon a location and attempt to each achieve an objective. Matches play out in three phases, and each subsequent phase takes into account decisions made in the previous one, and moves the fight to a different objective. The game has a bigger emphasis on tactics over twitch shooting.

There isn't a lot of gameplay available for Nine to Five, though Redhill did release a gameplay trailer last year. But, if you're in the mood for a tactical shooter that isn't Siege-levels of insanity, this might be up your alley.

To get into the beta, just click the button on Nine to Five's Steam page and you'll receive an invite to download it.
