New Xbox One Experience launches November 12

The Xbox One will get a new user interface and Xbox 360 backwards compatibility in just over two weeks.

The New Xbox One Experience launches on November 12.

The fancy-pants firmware update brings a brand new user interface. As well as a fresh new look, it includes more functional game hubs, turns Snap into an overlay, and adds more social options in the community area.

The other major feature is the much-anticipated Xbox 360 backwards compatibility. Unfortunately this feature is not universal, so it's not going to work with every game, but it's a nice touch anyway. We're hoping for a full list of supported titles soon.

Microsoft detailed the New Xbox One Experience earlier this month, if you want to catch up on what else is coming.
