"Unannounced Metro games" are in development now at 4A Games

Metro: Last Light studio 4A Games has confirmed it's working on "unannounced titles within the Metro universe as well as further, unannounced projects" right now, and that it's also opening a new office in Malta. Good times.

It came from a statement sent out to press today, that saw 4A Games pledge to expand its "triple-A development capabilities" with the new Malta site. The team's Kiev base will still head up the company, although creative director and co-founder Andrew Prokhorov, and chief technical officer Oles Shishkovstov are relocating to Malta to oversee the new office.

What does this mean? Well, 4A's CEO and head of business development Dean Sharpe said in a statement, "By basing our new headquarters in Malta, a member state of the EU, 4A Games will be able to better compete on the international stage.

"Malta offers fantastic incentives for game development, and we are confident 4A Games will be able to attract the very best talent from Ukraine, Malta and beyond."

Prokhorov added, "This marks the start of a new chapter for 4A Games. We are proud of our achievements as a young studio, and humbled by the response to our output so far. The team is looking forward to this new adventure."
