A Kickstarter fund has been launched for a device called the Ringbow, which promises an intuitive solution to fiddly touchscreen d-pad controls.
Described as "the world’s first wearable accessory for touch devices", the Ringbow is Bluetooth-based controller that fits over the user's index finger, presenting a thumb-controlled d-pad.
According to the device's Kickstarter page, Ringbow "makes porting consoles games and PC games to mobile devices easier than ever which can be done without affecting and damaging their great experience", resulting in "an intuitive gaming experience and a sense of tactile feedback which greatly enhances the user experience."
The device currently works on Android, with an iOS release incoming shortly. It is available to order by pledging $45 or more towards the Kickstarter fund.
A goal of $100,000 has been set for the project. $59,434 has already been pledged with 24 days left to go.
