New Front Mission in development at Square Enix Japan - rumour

Front Mission is back. Or will be back, anyway.

A new Front Mission game is in the works at Square Enix Japan, according to industry whispers.

The rumour comes to us via Siliconera, which has proved rock solid with its Square Enix leaks in the past.

The site has word that Toshifumi Nabeshima is working on the new Front Mission. Nabeshima is a former From Software producer who was responsible for Armored Core 5 and Chromehounds.

The most recent series entry was 2010's Front Mission Evolved, a third-person shooter. No details yet on what kind of game we'll see this time, but perhaps the return to a Japanese development team also means a return to the strategic RPG leanings of earlier games.
