BioWare shares first look at Dragon Age 4

BioWare brought the next Dragon Age to Opening Night Live.

One of the early surprise reveals on today's gamescom Opening Night Live was an appearance by BioWare. The developer shared a behind-the-scenes look at the next Dragon Age game. Though it still does not have a proper title, we at least know more about it now than we did before.

Today's trailer contains very little gameplay. The documentary-style presentation was mostly cut from interviews with BioWare developers, as well as some of the actors and stunt performers all working to bring the game's world and characters to life. There appears to be a big focus on characters in the upcoming game (which isn't surprising), and the protagonist will seemingly be downtrodden.

We did get a glimpse of combat and a brief look at animations in what looked to be very early prototypes. The next Dragon Age is ways away, still, but series diehards are no doubt already going through the trailer frame by frame.
