New Civilization V DLC announced, releases this week

2K's announced two new DLC packs for Civilization V, introducing a new multiplayer map pack and a new civilization.

The Civilization and Scenario Pack: Polynesia pack sees the introduction of Polynesian Civilization as well as as new scenario Paradise Found, where you'll get to play as "one of the four great Polynesian kingdoms as they strive to become the dominant culture in Polynesia."

New technology and social policy trees will unlock "powerful advantages to players," including the Maori Warrior and the Moai.

2K's also announced a free map pack for Civ V, which will be available to download when connected to Steam.

The content includes three maps: Skirmish, Ring and Ancient Lake.

All of the DLC will be made available from this Thursday, March 3.
