NeverDead review round up shows mixed results

Critics haven't credited Konami's NeverDead with the immortality the title suggests.

Despite a strong grouping in the region of seven, enough threes and fours are in the mix to make things unpleasant for UK developer Rebellion. NeverDead currently holds a Metacritic average of 51 on PlayStation 3, and 59 on Xbox 360.

The hack-and-slash title boasts an immortality mechanic, in that protagonist Bryce can never die - he just falls to bits and has to repair his body. It arrived on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in the US today, and hits Europe on February 3, so we may see an better results from audience across the pond.
