NBA Live 15 executive producer Sean O'Brien has promised EA Sports' basketball series will continue.

"Guaranteed. We've already started development on 16. We're staffing up. We're actually increasing investment on what 16 — and 17 — look like," he told Polygon.

O'Brien has promised that each successive NBA Live game will be better than the one before until the series hits its stride again, but refuses to say that NBA Live 15 is terrific, as most interview subjects would.

"We're a work in progress," he said.
