NBA 2KVR Experience is this week's surprise new release. Hooray?

NBA 2KVR Experience was announced, trailered and released today - depending on which side of the dateline you're reading this. It's available for download as of November 22, whenever that hits you, for PlayStationVR, HTC Vive and Samsung Gear VR through the appropriate app stores.

Developed by NBA 2K studio Visual Concepts, it has players joining NBA 2K17 cover athlete Paul George in the Indiana Pacers’ stadium, Bankers Life Fieldhouse, to - I don't know, chuck balls around?

“I can’t wait for fans to dominate on the virtual court with virtual help from Gatorade," George said in a press release. Amazing.

According to the trailer description the game was produced in partnership with Gatorade, and "players can earn a variety of Gatorade boosts that will aid their shooting acumen, speed, recovery and more to help reach the top of the leaderboards".

Given the Gatorade marketing tie-in I would have though this was a free-to-play affair but apparently it costs AUD $30. I don't know how much that is in your moon money.
