Namco Bandai: Pac-Man & Galaga Dimensions "perma-saves" can be deleted

Namco Bandai has clarified that save data in Pac-Man & Galaga Dimensions for 3DS can be deleted, despite a report from Shack yesterday claiming otherwise.

The company's now said that save file data can be erased by pressing ABXYLR when you boot the game, according to a statement from the publisher's UK arm this morning.

A Namco US rep said yesterday that there was "no way to erase the save from within the game itself without misusing the hardware, causing corruption."

The debate with the save game system in Dimensions comes after the recent debacle that engulfed Capcom with the release of Resident Evil: Mercenaries on 3DS.
