Myst spiritual successor Obduction gets July release date and new trailer

Above you can check out anew teaser trailer for Obduction, a spiritual successor to the Myst series from the original development team at Cyan Worlds.

The teaser was released to accompany the long-awaited announcement of a release date - July 26. The $30 adventure will be available via GOG, the Humble Store, the Mac App Store, the Oculus Store and Steam.

Successfully Kickstarted in November 2013, Obduction is running pretty late on its original mid-2015 release window and was delayed again from a June target date, but the extra development time does mean we get a sim-ship with the virtual reality version, which is nice.

If you'd like to see more, the first proper Obduction trailer was released in March. Cyan Worlds co-founder Robyn Miller came back on board for this one, by the way - and that means the soundtrack should be pretty consistent with the Myst universe.
