Mount&Blade: With Fire & Sword trailered

20110201m&bwithfireandsword

Oh sure, medieval combat is fun, what with the thundering hooves and flashing swords and what not, but what does Mount&Blade: With Fire & Sword have to offer? A hair-raising trailer, perhaps. Prepare to think of the year 1653 in a way the history books rarely manage to convey.

If the whole thing passed you by, Mount&Blade: With Fire & Sword was announced at Paradox's New York event, and seems to be an entirely separate title, the first true follow up to medieval combat sim Mount&Blade.

It's not just a new setting. The introduction of firearms to Europe introduces an entirely new method of war - load your infantry up with muskets or just blow holes in an enemy stronghold with explosives.

Other improvements include fully customisable troops and the new multiplayer Captain mode, which puts you in command of an army.

Most importantly, look at this trailer!
