More Exotics are coming to Destiny with December update

Destiny players have more reasons to chase those shiny gold engrams.

The next Destiny update is due in December, and will add more Exotic-tier equipment to the game.

"Two of them are exclusive to Year Two," community manager David "Deej" Dague wrote in the latest Bungie Weekly Update.

"Others are weapons and armor from Year One that have been upgraded to keep pace with your Level 40 character. A couple of those Year One reprisals might even have some new surprises tucked away in their talent trees."

Exciting. It doesn't sound like they'll be locked behind new quests or challenges, though; the new and revamped Exotics will drop anywhere you can currently pick up Exotics, and the upgraded gear will also be available from the Exotic kiosks if you earned the original Year One versions.

Bungie said it will begin revealing the new Exotics from tomorrow on the Destiny Instagram.
